On-Page.ai is operated by LanPublications, Quebec, Canada (“we”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through on-page.ai, blog.on-page.ai, api.on-page.ai and our help centre, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Use.

What we collect
  • When you visit our sites: the pages you view, the page or ad that brought you here, your browser, device and language, the time of your visit, and your network address, from which we derive an approximate location.
  • When you create an account: your name, email address and password, any company or website details you choose to give, and your billing country.
  • When you pay: payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see your full card number. We keep your plan, invoices and payment status.
  • When you use the tools: what you put in (keywords, page addresses, texts and documents) and what the tools produce for you.
  • When you are signed in: how you use the service, recorded under your account (features used, scans, assets created, purchases).
  • When you contact us: your messages and the details you include.
Why we use it
  • To provide the service you signed up for, support you and bill you (performance of our contract with you).
  • To keep the sites secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems (our legitimate interest).
  • To understand how the sites and tools are used, improve them, and contact you about your use of the service (our legitimate interest).
  • To tell you about our products and offers (our legitimate interest for customers, your consent otherwise). Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To measure and run our advertising (your consent where your law requires it).
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules.
Analytics, advertising and cookies

We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to measure how our sites are used. Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites; you can opt out with its browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use advertising tools from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the results of our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our sites. Google and other vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits; you can opt out at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info/choices. When you sign up or pay, we may send Meta a hashed version of your email address and the purchase amount so it can match the event to its users; adjust this at facebook.com/adpreferences. Our pages may also include other advertising pixels, sharing buttons and embedded videos from third parties, which load from those services. Our emails may record whether they were opened.

Cookies and similar identifiers are used for three purposes: essential (keeping you logged in, security checks, remembering your choices; the service does not work without them), measurement (analytics, and remembering the campaign or ad that first brought you here) and advertising (as above). You can delete or block cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies means logging in on every page. To have the analytics data we hold about you deleted, write to us.

Who receives it

We do not sell your personal information. Service providers work for us under contract for payment processing, email delivery, hosting and storage, customer support tools, the AI and search services behind the tools, analytics and advertising, and business reporting. They may use your information only to perform their services for us. We also disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect against fraud or security problems, and as part of a sale, merger or financing of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Where it is processed

We are based in Canada and process information there. Some of our providers process information in the United States or other countries. For readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: Canada is recognised as providing adequate protection, and for other transfers we rely on safeguards recognised by law, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it
  • Account data, your scans and assets: while your account exists. When you delete your account, they are deleted within 30 days.
  • Visit and usage records: as long as we need them to understand and improve the service.
  • Invoices and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your unsubscribe so that we respect it.
Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or give you a copy of your personal information, to stop using it for marketing, or to stop a particular use, and you may withdraw a consent you gave. Write to sales@lanpublications.com. We answer within the time the law allows and do not charge for it. We may ask you to confirm your identity, for example by writing from the email address on your account, and we may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive, as the law permits. You may also complain to the privacy authority where you live.

Children

Our sites and tools are for businesses and are not intended for anyone under 18.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. Keep your password to yourself; we will never ask you for it.

Other sites

Our sites link to other websites and services. This policy does not cover them.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date below says when. For a significant change we will post a notice on the site or email account holders.
